From a young age, football was my passion and I used football boots as the one piece of kit where individuality could be expressed. This meant finding the rarest boots, or customizing a pair to be different. My first memory of this being my 1998 white predator accelerators - cutting off the blades to try and add studs! How I regret that now! As I grew older, wearing odd boots, wearing brands that most hadn't heard of and dusting off retro pairs were all things I did to try and be different. I wanted to do more within the football boot community...

The Boot Academy started in 2017 as an Instagram account - simply to inform about new boot releases and also to promote a blackout service. This is where the name come from - a great place to learn about football boots and also the blackout service which was a football academy thing, where players had to wear black boots.

Lockdown and the beginning of 2021 was when The Boot Academy really blossomed. After always constantly looking for boots in my size, I was letting many bargains go. I thought that I should buy fantastic boots whenever I see them and keep them all in one place, to make it easier for other boot lovers. I now have multiple sources and aim to stock and source a huge variety of football boots including kids, adults, rare, classics, new and used to cater for everyone.
